        Achievement Introduction:


        This achievement made a comprehensive and systematic study on the biology and artificial cultivation ofPorphyra haitanensis, including the morphology and life history, the formation of natural seedlings, the conchocelis ecology including maturation, release and attachment of conchospores, the seedling collecting methods, and the farming and harvesting techniques, etc. The artificial and industrial cultivation ofP.haitanensiswas established based on these findings, methods and techniques, and great economic benefits were gained. This achievement had established porphyra culture industry in China, which became the most advanced in the world.
